Jo’Anne Valda O’Meara was born on April 29th 1979 to Dave and Barbara O’Meara.

Jo got her musical start in the R’n’B group 2-4 Family. Jo sang on the groups debut single entitled ‘Stay’, rumors circulated that O’meara left the group due to a pregnancy, which was later confirmed to be untrue. The band was joined by Jo Biscardine who covered Jo’s vocals on the track, Although on the Christmas rerelease of their single, Jo O’Meara’s vocals were not on the single, but her likeness still appeared on the single cover.<p>

In 1998 Jo auditioned to be in the group S Club 7, where she would sing majority of the female leads. Jo stayed with the band for their four year run. In 2002 Jo hurt her back deeming her unable to preform with the rest of the band. Her vocals for the bands then single “Alive” were rerecorded with vocals from fellow-bandmate Rachel Stevens. The band announced their split in April of 2003, a greatest hits album followed in June.

Jo shortly signed with the S Club manager Simon Fuller, but later left the managment because Simon Fuller wanted her to record and release a covers album, which Jo was reportatly unhappy with. However, in 2005 Jo announced that she had secured a record deal, and released her debut single “What Hurts The Most”, which was followed by a solo album entitled ‘Relentless’. The two released failed to generate much interest amongst fans. Jo was later released from her contract due to the labels bankrupty.

In 2006, Jo took park in the singing reality show ‘Just The Two of Us”, Jo and her partner Chris Fountain placed third in the compeition being eliminated by singing one of S Club 7’s most recogniseable songs ‘Never had A Dream Come True’. In 2007 Jo joined the Celebrity Big Brother house, and because of the show was labled as a racist. Jo was elimited on Day 24. Following news of the upset of fans O’Meara slipped into a deep depression and secluded herself from the world.

In Janaury of 2008, Jo emererged out of nowhere announcing that she was 6 Months pregnant. Jo apparently around the same time began working on a follow-up to ‘Relentless’, being offered a song from Jeremaine Jackson. On May 12th Jo gave birth to a baby boy whom she named Lenny. Jo would raise Lenny as a single mother. Later that year Jo began touring with former S Club mates Bradley and Paul through-out Europe preforming old S Club classics in various venues.

In August of 2010, Jo announced that she was to record a cover of Rod Stewards “In a Broken Dream” with The Popes. This song was preformed at various venues and a official released was planned but never materialized.
